Gutter Calculations

Phoenix are able to offer full gutter calculations using software, to BSEN12056-3:2000.  These are software based and calculate whether your proposed gutter design is capable of handling the rainwater draining from the roof area.

Phoenix are also able to advise on the number and size of outlets required for each proposed layout.

This is all presented in a personalised report detailing the results of the calculation and shows either a pass or fail.

The basic information required is the following:

Gutter dimensions, specifically throat, sole and upstand measurements

Gutter length

Roof dimensions, length and height to eaves and pitch along with gutter positioning, internal or external

Building location (UK) and life expectancy (for example some calculations require the gutters to cope with a once in 50 year storm etc)

Number and size of outlets
